6 month update!

Okay so my blog has been seriously lacking this month due to having a very hectic few weeks. A month a go I lived in a 2 bedroom flat with no intentions of moving just yet and now I am currently sat in the living room of a 3 bed house. In less than two weeks we've decorated (downstairs anyway) and moved in. I'm half unpacked and Livi hates it here but oh my god it feels nice to get out of that flat!!! We always knew it would be a temporary place to live but in all honesty I was planning on staying there until Liv was at least a year old but unfortunately living above angry Chinese people who seem to beat each other up all the time just isn't for me! This is a proper home and I absolutely adore it.
Anyway I'm back! I have like a million unpublished blog posts that I've been doing and a child who's finally started napping properly again!
Right, so Liv is now 6 months old (well just over) and my Lord she is such a madame! Liv can now sit unaided for long periods of time although she thinks that its hilarious to throw herself backwards. She is also in the first stages of crawling (it more like an army crawl) but she can get herself from one side of the living room right across into the kitchen on the other side of down stairs in about 5 minutes! (Little update from me writing this this morning, Olivia has mastered proper crawling this afternoon, wahoo!). She's now pretty much completely in 6-9 month clothes and has started growing out of some of her little shoes!
I have also introduced Olivia to fingers foods this month. I started off by giving her one of those net things that you can put fruit in... I'm really not sure what they're called but they're brilliant. We then moved on to me giving her a banana to hold and feed herself (absolute disaster) and now the past week or so I've given her toast which she loves, sandwiches, grated cheese, chunks of cucumber and some of the finger foods from the brand Organix.
Liv has now gotten to a new low with her sleeping and will literally wake up every hour in the night, sometimes even more and just lay screaming until I go into her. Extremely exhausting and frustrating for the both of us so I caved and have had her in my bed with me when I've had enough. Something I was so adamant I'd never do but it's funny what exhaustion can do to you. She goes off to sleep in her cot extremely easily, all I have to do is give her some milk and lay her down and she's fast asleep but then within half an hour she's back wide awake and this cycle will literally continue all night! 9 times out of 10 she will refuse to take a dummy and the only thing that will settle her is my boobs which I am now really wishing were detachable so I could at least have a bath in peace! I'm still planning on breast feeding until 12 months though and no amount of sleepless nights will put me off of that.
We've also this month bought Liv a bath seat which I am definitely recommending to any parent who's child can sit up! Bath time is so unbelievably easy and I can give her a long bath without getting any back ache!
Her favourite things this month are any of her musical books, her little vtech laptop, blowing raspberries, cucumber, trying to grab my phone and knocking all my photo frames and candles off of my TV stand. Her least favourite things are potatoe, being left in her jumperoo when no one else is in the room, waking up in her bed alone and having anything put in her mouth that she hasn't physically put in there... And I think that's about it for our 6 month update!

What's in my nappy bag?

Looking in Livs nappy bag last night I realised how much unnecessary crap I carry around with me on a daily basis so here's an honest 'what's in my bag' before I've had chance to organise it all again!

Okay, gross but the first thing in my bag is a bottle of water, possibly two days old? Don't worry I wouldn't give this to her hahaha, I think this is from the walk we went on the other day? At least it's not milk though ey!

Next is my bag of bags. I'm sure everyone has a carrier bag somewhere in their home that contains lots of other carrier bags, well in this house we have two but these are just nice scented ones for poop.

A clean bib and a teething ring...

My favourite baby wipes! I've used these for months, they're so thick and amazing! I even use these for taking my make up off too! Well done huggies, well done.

Erm three pairs of mits, a pair of socks, an odd sock and a flannel...

Cradle cap shampoo that probably hasn't been used since Christmas time.

Body spray for when all my pram pushing makes me stinky.

Baby oil... Am I the only person that doesn't actually know when this is supposed to be used???

My matching purse, obviously.

Dry shampoo, I swear by this stuff!

House keys and tangled head phones!

three nappys...

Livs hat which I adore!

Two more pairs of mits, another pair of socks and the missing odd sock from earlier!

A bottle lid, thermometer and a head band.

Three dummy's that won't of been used in over a month.

And of course I wouldn't be female if I didn't have a bag full of receipts, parkings tickets, train tickets and a puzzle piece apparently!

So, apart from Livs red book and her fold away changing mat then that is it for what's in my bag! What's in your bag? Do you need a clean out as much as I did??
